Can Love Exist in This World?

The indications mentioned make it evident that genuine love is impossible between two individuals because most love is self-centered. Our love is often driven by our desires, and when the other person stops listening to us seriously, anger sets in, and threats of separation follow. Our concerns are usually centered around fulfilling our senses. Is this real love? Certainly not.

Observing relationships around, one often encounters instances where people mislabel their attachments as the divine love shared by Radha and Krishna, although they are far from deserving of such comparison. The question remains – what is true love?

True love cannot be instantaneous; it evolves and doesn't fade away.


Why Can't Others Understand Our Love?

Others might not comprehend our love because, in reality, we cannot love selflessly. Even our attempts are futile because, in this world, if we manage to love selflessly, we end up inflicting pain on ourselves. Love is reciprocal; it cannot be one-sided. If we do love someone, they will undoubtedly betray us someday, either due to their death or ours. True love in human relationships is unattainable.

If we abstain from love altogether, life becomes challenging. So, the question arises – whom should we love? The answer lies in understanding that we cannot love selflessly, but we can establish a connection with someone who loves us unconditionally. That someone is God, regardless of whether you believe in Ram, Krishna, Guru Nanak Dev Ji, or any other form of god. They alone can be loved selflessly and can reciprocate without causing us any harm.
